LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

Main Purpose:

Develop engaging content for a variety of audiences with innovative delivery modes and clear tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive learning objectives and other source content from internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and/or develop courses and curriculum.
  • Develop traditional and digital course materials and templates, including e-learning modules, presentations, participant workbooks, quick-reference guides, etc. 
  • Create and edit designs and multimedia assets including characters/vectors/photos, videos, animations, VR and immersive learning content and other digital resources. 
  • Recommend effective learning solutions based on business goals and learner needs, balancing them with possible constraints - such as experience, time or budget.
  • Manage multiple learning development projects simultaneously with the ability to stay within timelines and budgets and adjust as business needs require.
  • Train instructors, students, and employees in how to use learning technologies.
  • Participate in learning needs analysis.
  • Work with technical staff and vendors to troubleshoot problems reported by users.
  • Design evaluation tools to measure program effectiveness, and to determine whether desired learning and performance outcomes are achieved. 
  • Revise or redevelop learning solutions in response to feedback.
  • Assist in the analysis of new/enhanced learning management system and processes for usability and efficiency recommendations.

  • Strong experience working with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Lectora or any other similar e-Learning tool.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced English.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong capability in using Microsoft Office and multimedia assets.
