Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

Impala manages dry terminals as well as barges management activities. Finance functions are handled from Montevideo shared service center.

The person occupying this role is mainly responsible for ensure effective and strategic financial management for the company´s operations. This professional is responsible for a range of critical duties from preparing monthly financial reports to management as well as coordinating specific projects aimed at improving financial processes. Their mission is to provide management with a clear and detailed view of the company´s financial performance, identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve short and long-term financial goals.

This professional also plays a crucial role in cost control, providing support in activities related to terminal construction and promoting best practices in all financial aspects. In summary, the objective is to drive the company´s financial and operational efficiency, providing in-depth analysis, accurate reports, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and review countries performance (LampL, Balance sheet, Cash flow)
  • Provide insightful variance analysis (to corporate and local management)
  • Drive financial planning processes for assigned countries (Budget / Forecast / 5 years Plan / RLamp;O)
  • Follow-up and provide support on cost control activities in a context of terminal construction
  • Coordinate / participate (along with SSC accounting team) to financial management of assigned entities, being the main point of contact between local operations and finance functions
  • Provide management with statistics, summary, models, profitability analysis, contribution per site to support decision making
  • Manages specific projects such as process simplification, reporting improvement, business cases / acquisitions, system integration
  • Promote best practices on all financial aspects

  • Bachelor degree with postgraduate work
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the finance field, experience in controlling- performance reporting is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English/advanced level
  • Results Oriented. Meet deadlines on assignments

  • Independent team player with good communication skills – verbal and written
  • Fast learner and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
